These are the best gigs to see this week

Days are getting shorter, the weather is getting wetter and colder but there are still plenty of reasons you should tear yourself away from the telly and head down your nearest music venue.

In the coming months, classic pop groups like S Club are hitting the road, as are Fall Out Boy and Queens Of The Stone Age. 50 Cent is set to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’’ with a string of arena shows while Rema and J Hus are also on tour. Then there’s Madonna’s gigantic Celebration tour, which returns to  London in December.

To help you keep track of the spectacular must-see shows happening around the UK, here are the best gigs to see this week (October 30 – November 06).

Inhaler are set to close out the world tour for second album ‘Cuts & Bruises’ with a massive hometown arena show at Dublin’s 3Arena with support from Blossoms. 02 – Empress Ballroom, Blackpool

Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy’s ‘So Much (For) Stardust’ was a long overdue celebration of the band’s eclectic back catalogue and the headline tour in support of that record continues that energy. With deep-cuts from across the years nestled next to the big hits, the band have also implemented a Magic 8 ball to help them decide the setlist, meaning each show is entirely unique. With support from PVRIS and nothing, nowhere, it’s set to be a real good time.

Fall Out Boy plays:

October
31 – Utilita Arena, Birmingham

November
02 – The O2, London
03 – The O2, London

Creeper

Ever since Creeper first emerged from the Southampton DIY scene with their flamboyant horror-punk, the group have been putting on ambitious rock & roll shows. There’s been dramatic onstage break-ups, decapitations and plenty of fake blood. With vampire-inspired third album ‘Sanguivore’ released earlier this month, the band are taking it out on the road. As always with Creeper, expect the unexpected.

Creeper plays:

NOVEMBER
05 – O2 Academy, Bristol
06 – Clyde Room, Glasgow
08 – Rock City, Nottingham
09 – Academy, Manchester
10 – O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London

Royal Blood

After an eventful festival season, Royal Blood are hitting the road to support their new album ‘Back To The Water Below’ with the brilliant HotWax along for the ride. Speaking to NME about the new record, drummer Ben Thatcher said: “This record felt more enjoyable than the previous two, just because we got to let loose a little bit with it. With the first album, we had no idea how it was going to go down and it’s the same kind of thing this time around. But, we have the confidence behind us now [because] we’ve made three other albums.”

“There are nods to stuff we did on the first album, but for me, making records feels like you’re trying to hit the bullseye of what you want to make. They all miss, but this one feels the closest. It’s the closest we’ve got to who we are as a band, the music we like and the songs we want to play live,” added Mike Kerr.

October
30 – 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin
