The rapper’s newly announced dates follow a sold out show at London’s Royal Albert Hall earlier this month. His third album ‘Hugo’ came out one year ago, which NME praised in a four-star review for the artist’s “honest, unflashy” storytelling. It added: “Fatherhood pushes the London rapper to reconsider his story and offer a true representation of the facts on his third album.”

Speaking to NME at the BRIT Awards back in February, Carner said he’d been “very moved” by the response to the new record.

“I feel like it’s already done it’s job, it seems to have – and it continues to do so – lift people [up and] support people in a place they need it. I made something that I wanted to have when I was 16 that I didn’t have.”

Carner also said he was already back in the studio, telling NME that he “the desire to get straight back in, so I got straight back in and I’ve been working on new music”.

In other recent news from the artist, Carner opened up about the importance of using his live shows to speak out against toxic masculinity at the Mercury Prize awards this year.
