On September 13, WOODZ took to his SoundCloud account to unveil his new song ‘Falling’, which he co-wrote and co-composed with Day6 vocalist and bassist Young K. The pair have notably spoken about having worked on a song together since 2021.
“You see me falling, falling, falling, falling asleep in / Worries, worries, worries, worries, not a single one / I’ll tell you tomorrow, I hope it’s okay / Oh, I’m not gonna stay up all night / I want a sweet dream,” they croon in the chorus.
WOODZ is currently serving his mandatory military service, and has been releasing demos on SoundCloud over the last two months as gifts to fans. His last release before enlisting this January was his December 2023 single album ‘Amnesia’, which included the songs ‘Amnesia’ and ‘Behind’.
Meanwhile, Day6 made a comeback earlier this month with their ninth EP ‘Band Aid’, which is led by the single ‘Melt Down’. It came six months after the group returned from their military service hiatus earlier this year with ‘Fourever’, which also marked their first release as a quartet after the departure of vocalist and guitarist Jae in December 2021.
In support of ‘Band Aid’, the band will be going on their 2024-2025 ‘Forever Young’ world tour, which begins next week. The band has announced 15 concerts across East and Southeast Asia so far.
Elsewhere in K-pop, rookie boyband 8TURN have announced concerts in the US for their upcoming 2025 ‘8TURNRISE’ world tour. It will mark the eight-member act’s first tour since their debut in 2023.
