Chris Stapleton has shared a new music video for his song “Think I’m In Love With You,” starring The Wire and Empire’s Andre Royo as a shoulder-shimmying, red suit-wearing one-man show.

The new visual was directed by Running Bear, choreographed by JaQuel Knight and produced by Strange Arcade. It envisions the afterlife as a big dance party, filled to the brim with deceased loved ones and close friends having the time of their life. In just a day on YouTube, the clip has already amassed nearly 250,000 views.

“Think I’m In Love With You” appears on Stapleton’s acclaimed 2023 album Higher. At this year’s Academy of Country Music awards, where Stapleton led the pack with four wins, he sang the track with Dua Lipa at the live ceremony. The video of their duet has since been viewed on YouTube over 3.8 million times.

Higher was co-produced by Stapleton, his wife Morgane, and their longtime collaborator Dave Cobb. That same year, Stapleton told GQ he wanted the record to encapsulate his many different influences.

“If it was all just bedroom songs or all rockin’ songs with horse metaphors or whatever, it wouldn’t feel interesting to me,” he explained. “It wouldn’t feel representative of everything I enjoy or think that people want to hear.” The record ultimately won him two Grammys, both for lead single “White Horse”: Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song.

In August of this year, his 2015 hit “Tennessee Whiskey” joined Spotify’s Billion Streams club. He’s also currently in the midst of his All-American Road Show tour, which has brought him to sold-out venues not just in the US, but across the UK, New Zealand and Australia.
