The Twang announce 15th anniversary UK tour of ‘Jewellery Quarter’

The Twang have announced a 2024 UK tour to mark the 15th anniversary of their second studio album, ‘Jewellery Quarter’. Find all the details below.

The Birmingham indie band released the record in 2009 as the follow-up to their 2007 debut ‘Love It When I Feel Like This’. It peaked at Number 20 in the official UK albums chart.

Today (July 30), The Twang confirmed that they’ll be hitting the road this winter for a run of special headline shows. The group are set to play ‘Jewellery Quarter’ in full “plus all the favourites and a few surprises” at the forthcoming dates.

Kicking off in Leeds on December 5, the trek will also include stop-offs in Coventry (7), Leicester (12), Liverpool (13), Manchester (14), Bristol (18), London (19), Sheffield (20) and Birmingham (21).

Tickets go on general sale at 10am this Friday (August 2) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. An O2 Priority pre-sale will go live at the same time tomorrow (Wednesday July 31).

The Twang’s 2024 UK ‘Jewellery Quarter’ tour dates are:

21 – O2 Academy, Birmingham

‘Jewellery Quarter’ was given a 3/10 review from NME at the time of its release. The album features the singles ‘Barney Rubble’ and ‘Encouraging Sign’.

The Twang have since shared three more full-length records: ’10:20′ (2012), ‘Neon Twang’ (2014) and ‘If Confronted Just Go Mad’ (2019). They released a four-track EP, ‘Amsterdam’, in 2020.

The group embarked on a UK headline tour in December 2023 and March 2024. In 2022, they participated in the ‘Revive Live’ 2022 concert series in an effort to help UK grassroots venues survive post-COVID.
