In the interview with the publication, Jisoo was asked about how she wanted BLACKPINK to change the way the world sees K-Pop. Jisoo started by pointing out that it had already changed, showcasing her humble attitude by saying it wasn’t just because of BLACKPINK.

I think the world has just changed a lot lately, not necessarily because of BLACKPINK. I feel that the world is just so different now as a result of many things — be it K-pop, films, or Korean dramas.

Yet, Jisoo shared some touching moments from the group’s time abroad, including comments from those at Korean restaurants and how the group has helped them.

This is our second world tour, and I already feel like there are so many things that have changed since the first. When we are on tour, we visit Korean restaurants a lot, and the employees there are often locals in that city. They would tell us things like, ‘Life here is comfortable for us as Koreans thanks to BLACKPINK.’

Yet, while Jisoo stayed humble as always, it was her next line that gained praise from netizens. Jisoo explained that “It was not BLACKPINK” alone that contributed to success and praised other artists.

Of course, it was not BLACKPINK alone that contributed to this since there are so many other successful artists apart from us who have become recognized internationally. I think K-pop’s influence now goes beyond appreciating songs, and I think that’s really meaningful. Hearing such things always makes me feel that I need to work even harder.

When the answer was shared online, netizens couldn’t get over how professional and mature Jisoo was being. It could be easy to focus on BLACKPINK as the question asked, but the singer stayed classy and focused on all parts of Korean society, especially all the artists in K-Pop.

Even on X, fans couldn’t stop praising Jisoo’s answer and how she acknowledged BLACKPINK’s influence without disrespecting other groups.

THAT’S HOW YOU ANSWER SUCH QUESTION SO PRECISE AND NOT DISRESPECTING OTHERS BUT STILL NOT FORGETTING HERSELF AND HER GROUP https://t.co/O7m946DqJo
