Welcome to a New Year. We at Mayhem Music Magazine enjoy connecting with music lover’s and although 2021 wasn’t what we hoped for as far as live music, we still want to give the opportunity to showcase those music lovers who capture music with their cameras and cell phones. To show our appreciation for those who endlessly attended shows, here are the photos that made us appreciate the moments that were captured.

Our March “Fan Friday Concert Photo” Contest Winner
is
Jess Harshbarger
with her photo of Jim Root of Slipknot
taken in Rogers, Ark
This is a great capture of an Jim Root because as anyone who has taken a photo of someone wearing a mask, it is difficult to capture any emotion. With the look in his eyes and the hair blowing though we found this shot an outstanding photo.
There were so many great entries that we could not decide on just two
Honorable Mentions.
This Month’s Honorable Mentions are:
Lisa Blake with her photo of Brent Smith and Zach Myers of Shinedown taken at the House of Blues Theater in Myrtle Beach, Fl. This Great capture was picked because of the expressions on their faces as well as the lighting and pose.
Bill McMenamey with his photo of Stevie D of Buckcherry at The Wall Street Theater in Norfolk, Ct . This was a great shot because everything is readable from the tattoos to the expression on his face. Such a great action shot.
Vanessa Hunsaker with her photo of AJ of Lit during the Monsters of Rock Cruise 2022. There is so much to look at from the mist of the water to frown on his face, to the pulled back fist. We just think this was a greatly timed shot.
Peter Pap who also took a shot of Buckcherry and singer Josh Todd. There is such distinction of the color pallet that Josh just stands out. I normally do not like seeing the crowd included in a photo but in this one it adds to the shot for color differential.
