Still I am.
Alicia Keys is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her stellar sophomore album, The Diary Of Alicia Keys this year and celebrates the occasion with an official release of an unheard record, “Golden Child”.
Anchored by her soothing piano keys, the Grammy-winning songstress preaches self-confidence and love with her angelic vocals.
“Girl, you can’t be scared / Gotta stand up strong / Let ’em see what shines in you / Push aside the part,” she sings. “Laying in your heart / Like an ocean is deep, dark, and blue.”
“Golden Child” is set to appear on the upcoming 20th anniversary edition of Alicia Keys’ The Diary Of Alicia Keys. The repackaged album will also feature numerous versions and live performances of the LP’s original songs.
The Diary Of Alicia Keys was first released on December 2, 2003, which spawned the hit singles “You Don’t Know My Name”, “If I Ain’t Got You”, “Diary”, and “Karma”. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and sold 618,000 in its first week. It also earned Alicia Keys three Grammy Awards.
