Ripper Owens Exits KK’s Priest for Unexpected New Opportunity

Although typically a time for family, faith, candy, and Jesus, Easter Sunday was the day chosen by journeyman vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens to announce his departure from the Judas Priest cover act, KK’s Priest. According to Mr. Ripper, his immediate plans are to attach himself to a new, much more serious project headed up by former Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley.

Tentatively titled BB’s Maiden, the band plans to focus on long, bass-forward, highly repetitious songs about fantasy, history, angels, and gamblers. It’s unclear exactly what role Ripper will play in the ensemble since it’s already fronted by Blaze Bayley but hopefully, that role won’t involve any actual singing from this man on the edge.
