The police officer suspected of leaking details of Lee Sun Kyun‘s drug case to the media has been arrested.
According to a report from Maeil Kyungjae, the police officer suspected of leaking details of an internal investigation on Lee Sun Kyun’s drug case was arrested earlier today, March 21, by the Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency.
The arrested police officer who leaked the details is said to be part of a different department within the police force, not the drug and crime investigation team. The Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency also conducted their second search and seizure of the Incheon Metopolitan Police Agency. The first search and seizure was on January 22.
The arrested officer will be transferred to the Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency for questioning and investigation as well as analyzing the seized materials.
Lee Sun Kyun was under internal investigation for drug use but controversy arose when it was revealed to the public that he was being investigated before an official investigation was underway.
