Akira Toriyama, the creator of famed series Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and more, has died at the age of 68.
In a statement shared on Dragon Ball’s official English website and social media accounts, they announced the passing of the series’ creator.
Akira Toriyama first became known through Dr. Slump in 1980. Following that, he used his love of kung fu films to create a manga centered around kung fu, leading to the creation of Dragon Ball, which became one of the best-selling manga series of all-time.
