A well-known member of the K-Pop girl group Lovelyz has made a surprising debut as an Afreeca TV streamer and has left fans and netizens alike astounded with her earnings from just a single four-hour session.
On February 26 Lovelyz’s Seo Jisoo launched her very own AfreecaTV channel named DoJisoo and embarked on a live broadcast journey that lasted for just over four hours.

Her decision to start streaming was rooted in her passion for gaming, a hobby she’s always enjoyed. During her stream, Jisoo engaged with her viewers, sharing insights into her recent activities — including her commitment to fitness through ballet and Pilates, as well as her involvement in various projects.

However, what truly caught everyone’s attention was her reveal about the potential for a Lovelyz concert, despite acknowledging the slim chances of it happening. The star cited scheduling conflicts and differing company interests as potential obstacles, yet remained optimistic about the possibility.

The real shocker came shortly after the broadcast ended when a post titled “Seo Jisoo’s earnings from about 4 hours on AfreecaTV surfaced on the online community FM Korea.
The post featured a screenshot indicating that Ji-soo received a whopping total of 50,110 star balloons — AfreecaTV’s digital currency — translating to initial earnings of ₩5.01 million KRW (about $3,760 USD)before fees. As a streamer, she would take home 40% of the income — amounting to ₩3.01 million KRW (about $2,260 USD).
By 11:30 AM the following day, her total star balloons had increased to 52,634, netting her ₩3.16 million KRW (about $2,370 USD).

Netizens were quick to express their astonishment and envy at the lucrative earnings Jisoo managed to rake in from just a single session on the platform. Comments such as “Wow, what’s the hourly wage…“, “If that’s the amount for 4 hours, the actual earnings must be incredible,” and “Really envious,” flooded in.
