TREASURE‘s Hyunsuk responded to an anti-fan during a recent live broadcast.

Hyunsuk

User Aish continually left hate comments while Hyunsuk was live. This included vomiting and middle finger emojis.

Middle fingers up? C’mon… No, actually I have been wanting to say this… My members had a very hard time because of this.

Since the netizen spammed the live comments, Hyunsuk could not help but notice. He told Aish to continue because he didn’t care, as he was used to such hate comments.

Yo, AISH. Go ahead, go ahead, c’mon. Say it again! I don’t mind if it’s me. I have seen this before.

He explained that while they are able to hide behind a screen and type without concerns, hateful comments such as these stick with the receiver forever. So, Hyunsuk begged them not to make hurtful hate comments on his members’ or any other artists’ live broadcasts and posts.

Because to you, as an anonymous person behind the screen, this is a joke that you posted without a thought, thinking it’s a joke, not a big deal. Isn’t it? But honestly, this will stay with an artist forever. Guys… Don’t do this to the members… No, actually, don’t do this to any artist, please!

The video went viral on 561.8K views on TikTok at the time of writing. Netizens praised Hyunsuk for calling out the user in question and speaking up on others’ behalf.

He is the only idol I have seen speaking up clearly about this issue that idols have deal with every day. He explained to us why idols are also humans. He spoke up for his members and stood up for the rest of the idol community as well. Best leader hyunsuk.#CHOIHYUNSUK pic.twitter.com/rOqPRQkepI

Hyunsuk called out a hater, and I think they deserve that lengthy call out!!!!!! EVERY ARTIST SHOULD DO THIS. MENTION THEIR USERNAMES. CALL THEM OUT IN FRONT OF HUNDRED THOUSANDS OF VIEWERS CAUSE THEY DESERVE IT.

Hyunsik has received an increased amount of hate himself due to multiple instances of cultural appropriation and more. Hence, why he initially said that he was used to it and that haters could feel free to direct their hate to him but not his members.

Still, netizens, who confessed to not being fans, praised Hyunsik for being a great leader to his members and being so protective. Additionally, many couldn’t help but worry for his own mental and physical health. We all hope he cares for himself as much as he cares for others.

This wouldn’t be the first time Hyunsuk begged netizens to leave only nice comments on his members’ posts and live broadcasts.
