30pc is an up-and-coming artist from Long Island who has been actively dropping tracks over the past year. He joined Raptology for an exclusive interview for some insight into his story and inspirations.
Raptology: What is your stage name, and how did you come up with it?
30: 30pc. Few years back, I started giving out respect, and I began gettin tips for it. Thirty was a common trend. The people gave me the name.
R: Where are you from?
30: Grew up on the south shore of Long Island, New York. Still here. Probably will be here till I get rich and then buy on the crib on the north shore, Great Gatsby style.
R: How would you describe the music that you typically create?
30: A simple mix of Hip Hop and R&B.
R: Who influenced you most throughout your career?
30: Too $hort, Future and Jeremih have the cockiest attitudes with the most swag. My girl at the time, about three exes ago, and Anthony Jeselnik influenced me to start writing my own material.
R: What are your most notable achievements in the music industry?
30: Every time I do a show, of any capacity, it feels like like my biggest achievement. I love what I’ve learned about sound production and being able to create most of what I want on my own. I’d love to start working with more artists to learn more from and then take the world over.
R: Talk about your latest release.
30: My last release is a single that gives beach vibes in Vegas. A simple ballad written after coming home from Vegas this summer. My girl left me as soon as I came home. People who tuned in could expect more upbeat Hip Hop this Fall and Winter.
