On February 1, news outlets reported that thef idol released a statement denying that he was at a hotel with Chinese actress Zhao Lusi.
The dating allegations are rumors, and Lay is focused on his promotions. He has no plans of dating.

Lay Zhang’s statement was in response to rumors that first sparked on January 31 when it was alleged that Lay Zhang and Zhao Lusi’s cars were parked at a hotel. It was further alleged that the two left the hotel 10 minutes apart from one another.
Meanwhile, Lay Zhang debuted in 2012 with EXO. The idol left SM Entertainment in 2022 but remains a member of EXO. Zhao Lusi debuted in 2016 and sky-rocketed to fame in China. She has starred in Chinese dramas Who Rules The World, The Long Ballad, and Love Like The Galaxy.
