Joe Budden is currently enjoying his foray into broadcasting and becoming a media mogul in the progress, but now he’ll have added responsibilities. Joe Budden proposed to his longtime girlfriend Shadée Monique over the weekend, who also revealed at the event that she is expecting.
Fans of The Joe Budden Podcast have been aware that Budden has been planning this proposal for more than a year. He’s publicly shared his search for a proper diamond engagement ring, and detailed moving Shadée Monique from Texas to his New Jersey home.
From images and videos posted online via social media, Budden’s annual birthday party event includes his family, podcast hosts and their guests, friends from all walks of life, and more. The well-attended parties have become part of podcast lore, and listeners of the main pod and Patreon can expect the rest of the week to be centered on Budden’s big moment.
Budden didn’t mince words as he got on one knee decked out in a white tuxedo and skipping all the flowery words, he asks his love “We doing this or what?” which got the guests shouting in approval as the glowing Shadée Monique, in a Black dress, gave enthusiastic approval.
In another video, Shadée Monique let the cat out the bag and told guests that Budden will be an upcoming “girl dad,” something of an inside jab as Budden has joked towards his co-hosts for being fathers of daughters.
