During her set, which also included favourites ‘Ain’t In LA’ and ‘Sex On The Beat’, the musician premiered the song and introduced it with a short explanation about what the song is about.

ADÉLA said: “The next song is a new one. It’s basically about being at the club with your girls and getting bothered by boys”

Elsewhere in the set, ADÉLA opened up about her Slovakian roots before singing ‘Ain’t In LA’. She said: “Reading, how you guys feeling? …This next song is a really special one to me. It’s my most recent single. I don’t know if you guys know but I am originally from Slovakia.

“I always had a really big dream of being a pop star on a stage just like this one, but I always felt like I was too far from that. Turns out I wasn’t because I’m here […] I decided to write this song for all the bad bitches from small places.”

Before ‘Sex On The Beat’, meanwhile, the musician praised the crowd, saying:  “This is a lit ass crowd. I heard that this festival is a lot of people’s celebration after they finish their GCSEs. That’s awesome, you guys. I can feel the energy. I feel like you guys are really happy. I hope you guys do really well. Thank you so much for having me here today, it’s been a pleasure. Love you”

You can see some more footage from the set below, along with a set list:

In a review of Reading & Leeds ‘Most Magical Moments’, NME said of the musician’s set: “ADÉLA’s set at The Gallery on Friday served up pop perfection – her presence, playfulness and talent making her the full package.

“Midway through her set, she darted off stage and returned with a nod to her background as a ballet dancer – half a white tutu pinned to the back of her denim shorts, and ballet shoes laced on her feet. Pirouettes and en pointe gave ‘DeathByDevotion’ an elegant new edge, proof that the Slovakian star has plenty of tricks up her sleeve.”

In an interview with NME, ADÉLA, who released her new EP The Provocateur last year, opened up about her new music, saying: “I’m here to make people more comfortable with being uncomfortable.”

The NME 100 Essential Emerging Artist for 2026 added: “Being human – truly human – in pop music, I like to talk about my imperfections. To me, the negative sides of myself are just as interesting as the positive sides.”
