The race for the Senate in Florida has gained national attention due to progressive candidate Angie Nixon winning her primary. Part of that attention turned poisonous as far-right influencer Laura Loomer racially attacked her on social media – but Nixon fired back, drawing support online.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Loomer attacked Nixon by invoking a stereotype of how Black women speak. “These women are all ghetto, entitled, race-obsessed, destructive black B—— who are completely unfit for the power they hold,” she wrote.
Nixon wasn’t deterred. She responded, “Girl. You ate dog food on camera,” Nixon wrote. “In the words of Queen Latifah, ‘Who you calling a b—-?’”
