Cara Delevingne announces debut album ‘Not Normal’ with fiery single ‘Crazy Baby’

Cara Delevingne has announced her debut album ‘Not Normal’ – find all the details and check out her new single ‘Crazy Baby’ below.

The former model has been delving into the music world this summer, releasing the singles ‘I Forgot’ and ‘Out of My Head’ back in June. Now, she’s announced that the songs are part of her upcoming debut album ‘Not Normal’, which will arrive on September 25 via Warner Music – pre-order/pre-save here.

To celebrate, Delevingne has also shared a glitchy new single, ‘Crazy Baby’. Released yesterday (August 21), the track was written by Delevingne, Sarah Aarons (Tame Impala, Gracie Abrams, Zedd), Sammy Witte (Harry Styles), and BJ Burton (Bon Iver, Charli xcx), and co-produced by Delevingne and Burton.

It comes alongside a Bradley J. Calder-directed music video which stars Samara Weaving and Delevingne as a couple dancing around a slightly dishevelled house wearing fur coats. It seems almost idyllic, but soon unravels to reveal a more unsettling reality.

Announcing the album on Instagram, Cara told fans: “Writing songs over the years has been such an important part of my life, and it has been so special to finally start sharing these songs with you this past summer.

“I cannot wait for you to hear them all. If any of you connect with even one song, that’s all I’ve ever wanted,” she added.

Outside of modelling, Delevingne has also pursued a successful acting career, having featured in films such as 2015’s Paper Towns and 2016’s Suicide Squad alongside Margot Robbie, as well as the TV series Only Murders In The Building.

Explaining her recent shift to music in an interview with Vogue, Delevingne said: “I was in a couple bands during school, but whenever it came to the songs I’d written, I would lock myself in the bathroom and play them, because I just didn’t want anyone to listen.

“They were always for me,” she added. She has also described making music as a “rebirth”, and a positive outlet for her self-expression.

In other news, in June, Delevingne made headlines when she revealed that she and Amber Heard were romantically involved while Heard was going through a divorce with Johnny Depp.

Before that, last year, Delevingne joined Renee Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion to recreate their viral “Lesbian Bodyodyguards” picture at Coachella.
