The annual event is back for its fourth year, and sees the Grammy-winning artist curate a wide array of activities for fans, all of which embody her idea of the perfect day.

Taking place on Sunday (August 23), the theme for this year is ‘A Celebration of the Arts’, and includes events centred around the cultural experiences that inspire the Icelandic-Chinese singer, including music, film, dance, theatre and literature.

There are events in more than 75 cities across 25 countries planned, and these include live performances, museum exhibitions, and fan meet-ups in libraries, bookstores, cafes and ice cream shops.

Highlights include exclusive candlelight concerts held in 10 cities around the world, where audiences will hear some of Laufey’s music reimagined and performed by string quartets.

There is also the screening of the Night at the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl concert film, which will be shown at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater and at select AMC Theatres locations in the US, as well as chances for fans to meet up at bookshops and purchase limited-edition ‘A Very Laufey Day’ merchandise and specially-made drinks.

“This year it was really about focusing on the arts and culture and finding ways to bring this barrier of entry down between my audience — which is mostly Gen Z and Gen A — and these kind of so-called high cultural experiences,” Laufey told Associated Press about the upcoming 2026 event.

“Whether it’s going to see an orchestra show, museums or galleries, we really want to find ways to connect with those institutions.”
