Tiger Lewis has released his debut EP, Mr. Right Now via Republic Records. The six-track project arrives with “Runaway,” a new guitar-driven song that closes the record and addresses regret, inherited expectations, and the urge to begin again. A visualizer for “Runaway” has also been released alongside the EP.
Musically, Mr. Right Now draws on 1970s soul, R&B, blues, gospel, and guitar-driven rock, a combination Lewis has named “Grunge Groove.” Expressive guitar playing, live-band energy, and his soulful vocal delivery are central to the sound. “Each song on this project is a different vignette of how I’ve tried to contort myself to feel accepted and admired,” Lewis said. “For me, masculinity felt like something that was out of reach. Through the project, I had to redefine it as a spectrum that included sensitivity. I hope listeners walk away with a laugh and the feeling of being enough.”
Each song began with Lewis and a guitar before the material grew into the fuller arrangements heard on the finished EP. Producer and creative collaborator Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman worked closely with Lewis throughout that process. Rather than departing from those first guitar ideas, the final versions build outward from them into a broader band sound.
Before the EP arrived, Lewis released “Mr. Right Now,” “Leaving Me Lonely,” “Too Easy,” “Mrs. Kisses,” and “Use Me,” all five of which are included on the final tracklist. On August 13, 2026, he celebrated the project with a headline show at The Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles.
