Miranda Lambert‘s MuttNation Foundation has reunited with Tractor Supply Co. to supply grants to animal welfare groups across the country.
MuttNation and Tractor Supply Co. have committed to donating $255,000 to one organization in each state. Thanks to MuttNation’s Mutts Across America program, one animal shelter or foster-based rescue in each state is being honored with a surprise $5,000 grant. Lastly, there is a “Wildcard” shelter—named after Lambert’s 2019 Grammy-winning album—that will receive a grant as well.
“Mutts Across America is one of my favorite MuttNation programs because it lets us show our appreciation to the people at the shelters who are doing the hard work every day,” Lambert said in a statement. “And to make it even more special, the grants are always a surprise — there’s no way to apply or be nominated. Tractor Supply has been such an amazing partner, and we’re so grateful for their commitment to MuttNation and to shelter pets across the country.”

Lambert’s work with MuttNation comes as she gears up to release her latest solo LP, Crisco. Last week, she unveiled “Sunset Marquis,” the fourth track released ahead of the 12-song album, due October 2 via MCA.
Crisco is produced by Lambert and Frasure. “I’ve always loved every corner of country music,” Lambert said when the album was announced. “The heartbreak songs, the honky-tonk songs, the songs that make you think and the songs that make you dance. Making this record reminded me that those things don’t have to be separated. We followed the songs wherever they wanted to go, trusted our instincts and ended up with something that feels really fun and really honest to who I am.”
