Brandon Flowers has shared “Tiger’s Blood,” the latest single from his upcoming solo album THRASHER, due August 21, 2026 via Island Records. The Killers frontman debuted the song during his Newport Folk Fest set last week.
“Tiger’s Blood” centers on nostalgia, loss and the experience of getting older. It follows “Plans” and “Paradise,” which were released as the first two lead singles from THRASHER. The album will be Flowers’ first solo LP in more than a decade.
Flowers recorded THRASHER in Nashville with longtime producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado. The sessions brought in guitarist David Rawlings, a longtime Gillian Welch collaborator, along with pedal steel player Bruce Bouton and harmonica player Charlie McCoy. McCoy, 85, appears on all four of Bob Dylan’s Nashville records, connecting the sessions with another part of the city’s recording history. Rawlings is closely associated with Welch’s recordings and live work, while Bouton has spent decades working as a Nashville pedal steel player. The album also draws directly on Flowers’ childhood in Nephi, Utah, using those small-town years as source material for the songs.
In May 2025, Flowers received the Special International Award at The Ivors in London, where Bruce Springsteen presented the honor. His previous solo album, The Desired Effect, was released in 2015, while debut Flamingo arrived in 2010; both reached No. 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart.
