IVE rolled into Newark on their “Show What I Am” Tour and delivered a set that moved seamlessly from bombastic opener to intimate solo showcase to an encore that left the Prudential Center buzzing. Across four acts and an encore, the group balanced spectacle with genuine artistry, proving why they’ve become one of the most compelling live acts in K-pop right now.
Act 1: Coming Out Swinging
The night kicked off at full throttle with “GOTCHA (Baddest Eros),” immediately setting a high-energy tone that carried through the rest of the opening act. “Baddie” was a clear crowd favorite, drawing some of the loudest cheers of the segment. But the real standout came at the close of Act 1: “My Satisfaction” got an extended outro visibly inspired by The Phantom of the Opera, giving the moment a theatrical, cinematic weight that elevated it well beyond a typical song-ending transition.
Act 2: The Members Take the Spotlight
Act 2 shifted gears, handing the stage over to individual member solos. Yujin closed out the segment with a dance break outro that showcased her control and stage presence. The backup dancers also got their moment here, stepping out from behind the group to show off their own skills — a nice touch that gave the segment texture beyond just the members themselves.
Act 3: Slowing It Down
The shortest act of the night, Act 3 leaned into softer, more relaxed material, offering a breather between the high-intensity segments surrounding it. The highlight was a city pop-inflected rework of “Off the Record,” a reinterpretation that suited the mellower mood of the act and gave longtime fans a fresh take on a familiar track.
Act 4: Title Track Marathon
Act 4 was where the show went into overdrive, stringing together a run of title tracks back to back with barely a pause. “LOVE DIVE” was performed in Japanese, a nod to the group’s international fanbase, while “I AM” drew the biggest reaction of the segment as the fan-favorite of the bunch. The energy never dipped, and the act barreled straight into “BANG BANG” to close things out on an explosive high.
Encore: Going Out in Style
The encore’s second half brought “Supernova Love,” introduced by a DJ segment from Wonyoung that added a playful, unscripted feel before the song kicked in. The night wrapped with a one-two punch of “Kitsch” and “After LIKE,” sending the Prudential Center crowd home on an unmistakable high.
