TAEMIN has officially begun the countdown to his highly anticipated comeback, unveiling a series of teasers for his upcoming album and large-scale world tour.
On July 24, TAEMIN released a poster for his new album, PHASE 1: SOFT VIOLENCE, followed by a teaser poster for the 2026–27 TAEMIN WORLD TOUR [LiMiNaL], announcing the first three regions—North America, Latin America, and Seoul. The listed cities are Seoul, San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Grand Prairie, Chicago, Newark, Monterrey, Mexico City, Santiago, Lima, and São Paulo, with more to be announced.
The poster’s imagery—a sugar cube and ants—along with the phrase PHASE 1 : SOFT VIOLENCE, has fueled speculation about the concept and what TAEMIN has planned for his next era. The album is scheduled for release on August 31.
The tour title LiMiNaL derives from the Latin word limen, meaning “threshold” or “boundary.” The core message is that a boundary is not an end but a threshold where transformation begins.
The concept reflects TAEMIN’s continued evolution beyond the conventional boundaries of a K-pop artist as he further defines an artistic identity entirely his own. Through LiMiNaL, he will bring this process of transformation and evolution to life on stage through his distinctive artistry and performance.
Earlier this year, TAEMIN became the first Korean male solo artist to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, earning acclaim for his commanding stage presence and powerful performance. He continued his global festival run with an appearance at the UK’s BST Hyde Park.
Following these major international festival appearances, which helped cement his presence on the global stage, TAEMIN is poised to expand his worldwide reach with the upcoming large-scale tour.
A representative from Galaxy Corporation said, “Alongside the release of his new album, TAEMIN has confirmed a large-scale world tour that will give him the opportunity to meet fans around the world.”
