You Yokoyama of SUPER EIGHT releases phase two of his special “ROCK TO YOU” solo project with sophomore album “ROCK FOR YOU”

To “you”… and for “you”…
You Yokoyama’s solo project “ROCK TO YOU” began as a year-long “journey of training and self-discovery,” and in March 2026 he announced the project’s next chapter with a simple declaration: “I have more to say.”
Following the dual digital release of “Pistol / KANJOU MAIGO” (the latter meaning “emotionally lost”) in April and back-to-back live performances at the Osaka Castle Hall and Tokyo’s Zepp Haneda, Yokoyama officially unveiled his newest album “ROCK FOR YOU”

Alongside the previously released tracks and “Arigato” (meaning, “thank you”) which he premiered live at the aforementioned concerts in May, the album features six other brand-new songs with lyrics written by Yokoyama himself.
The project also includes “Pudding,” which features music by fellow SUPER EIGHT group member Shota Yasuda. Yokoyama previously collaborated with Yasuda on “cHocolate” and “Kicyu” from his previous album “ROCK TO YOU.”
Shaped by a life of embracing new challenges and charging headlong through a whirlwind of experiences, Yokoyama puts his whole heart and soul into his writing. Unafraid to be vulnerable, or even a little clumsy, the music he’s developed alongside his fans is the driving force that continues to propel him to even greater heights.
One thing is certain: His love of music will never fade. It will only continue to grow.
Starring as one of the five members of the band SUPER EIGHT from STARTO ENTERTAINMENT, Yokoyama debuted along with the group in 2004 and is currently promoted under the Infinity Records music label.
Following a nearly three-decade music, film, and television career he launched his year-long “ROCK TO YOU” solo side project in 2025; with this “…FOR YOU” extension a direct result of the enthusiastic support of his fans and fellow group members. His 12-city “ROCK FOR YOU LIVE TOUR” kicks off August 18th with stops across Japan.
