The Strokes have broken out ‘Dine N’Dash’ live for the first time during their second of two nights at Red Rocks. Check out the footage below.

The show was held at the iconic Colorado amphitheatre last night (Thursday July 23) following the NYC indie icons making a return to the venue the night before (Wednesday July 22) as well.
Held as part of their North American tour celebrating their new album ‘Reality Awaits’, the live show was the last to be held before the official release of the highly anticipated record, and came on the heels of huge appearances at Coachella 2026, as well as festival slots at Bonnaroo.
As seen in other recent shows, Julian Casablancas and co. kicked off the show with back-to-back renditions of ‘Killing Lies’, ‘Hard to Explain’, ‘Bad Decisions’ and ‘Juicebox’, before breaking out the lead single from their new LP, ‘Going Shopping’.
After playing ‘Ize of the World’ next, the band treated the audience to the first ever live rendition of recent single ‘Dine N’Dash’. The live performance kept the same breezy, laid-back feel as the studio recording, and saw the band with a simple blue and purple light cast over them.
Other songs performed later in the night included ‘Life Is Simple In The Moonlight’, ‘Reptilia’, ‘Last Nite’ and ‘Evening Sun’, and the indie heroes closed off the set with an encore comprising ‘You Only Live Once’, ‘Threat of Joy’ and ‘Ode To The Mets’.
Opening acts on the night were Hamilton Leithauser (formerly of The Walkmen) and Los Angeles-based Turkish psychedelic rock act, ÖLÜM.

The tour continues in San Francisco on August 8, before more shows in Oregon, Washington and more throughout the rest of the month – as well as two shows at Japan’s Summer Sonic festival.
US tour dates continue in September, before the band kick off the UK and European leg of the tour in October. The UK dates mark the band’s first full tour on British shores in 20 years and include stops in London, Newcastle and Manchester.
Guitarist Nick Valensi is taking a “temporary break” from playing live, but Casablancas has assured fans that he’ll “be back soon”. Find remaining dates below and visit here for tickets.

NME reviewed ‘Reality Awaits’ and gave The Strokes’ first new album in six years a glowing four stars, describing it as a “weird and wonderful collection” that sees them push out of their comfort zone.
“Lyrically, ‘Reality Awaits’ feels split between the personal and the political – sometimes both tussling for attention in the same song, as on the Voidz-y opener ‘Psycho Shit’,” it read. “Often, Casablancas’ words feel impenetrable – not helped by those slatherings of vocal effects – but when the barriers crack even a little, they’re invigorating.”
Aside from the new album, The Strokes have shared In Transit: Part II, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of their latest record. The 10-minute video serves as the sequel to In Transit, a mini-documentary they filmed in 2001 as they played their early shows around debut album ‘Is This It’.
