Netflix has revealed its Top 10 most watched films of 2026 so far, and Kpop Demon Hunters is still in the running nearly a year after it was released.

The animated film has smashed records and become Netflix’s most watched film ever following its release last year. It tells the story of a K-Pop girl group, HUNTR/X, who are musicians by day and demon hunters at night.

So far, the song ‘Golden’ that was written for the movie has won two Oscars, a Grammy, and two Golden Globes, as well as topping the charts in more than 30 countries. In 2026 alone, the unwavering popularity of the film has also led to Netflix giving it another run of cinema screenings, as well as announcing a global live tour.

Now, Netflix has revealed the Top 10 most streamed films on the platform in 2026 so far, and Kpop Demon Hunters has made it to the Top Five with 130million views in the past seven months alone.

The impressive number of views puts it ahead of romantic comedy Office Romance starring Jennifer Lopez, the Peaky Blinders spin off The Immortal Man which dropped four years after the finale of the six-season series – and The Crash which follows the investigation into a fatal car accident that took place in Ohio in 2022.

Other films that made the Top 10 included Apex – the horror flick with Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton that led to one of The Chemical Brothers’ tracks going viral – as well as rom-com People We Meet On Vacation, and survival-thriller Thrash.

The only movies to surpass Kpop Demon Hunters in 2026 were animated comedy Swapped which featured voice acting from Michael B. Jordan (130.8million views), crime drama The Rip with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck (136.1million views), and military thriller War Machine.

The latter took the top spot on the list with 146.9million views, and stars Alan Ritchson, Dennis Quaid, Stephan James and Jai Courtney. Given its success, Netflix has already confirmed that a sequel is on the way.

Earlier this year, it was announced that KPop Demon Hunters will be released on physical media as part of the prestigious Criterion Collection. Available from December 31, the release will make the Netflix film the latest to be brought to Blu Ray by the company, following on other animated films including Flow, Wall*E, and Wes Anderson’s The Fantastic Mr Fox.
