The Scottish singer-songwriter topped the bill at the London concert series for the second time last night (Sunday July 12), opening with ‘Hollywood’ before delivering fan-favourites like ‘Grace’, ‘Wish You the Best’, an alternate version of ‘Pointless’ and ‘Something in the Heavens’.

He later brought out surprise guest Pritchard, who joined him in performing The Kooks’ 2006 hit, which Capaldi said for his money, was “one of the best songs ever written”. The track is taken from their seminal debut album ‘Inside In/Inside Out’, which as well as ‘Naive’, produced some of their greatest hits, including ‘She Moves In Her Own Way’ and ‘Seaside’.

The surprise appearance from Pritchard followed Capaldi bringing Sam Fender out on the Great Oak Stage the night before (July 11). The two played into Fender and Olivia Dean‘s smash hit ‘Rein Me In’, which, as Capaldi noted, recently made history by becoming the longest-running British Number One single of all time.

Lewis Capaldi played:

‘Hollywood’
‘Grace’
‘Heavenly Kind of State of Mind’
‘Wish You the Best’
‘Love the Hell Out of You’
‘Almost’
‘Forever’
‘Bruises’
‘Pointless’ (alternate version)
‘Something in the Heavens’
‘Naive’ (The Kooks cover with Luke Pritchard)
‘Before You Go’
‘Fade’
‘The Day That I Die’
‘Hold Me While You Wait’
‘Forget Me’

Encore:
‘Survive’
‘Someone You Loved’

The shows come after Capaldi released his ‘Survive’ EP earlier this year, featuring the comeback single ‘Survive’ alongside ‘Something In The Heavens’, ‘Almost’, ‘The Day That I Die’ and ‘Stay Love’.

Speaking at TRNSMT earlier this year, Capaldi confirmed that a new album is in the works, while also reflecting on the period when his mental health “took a beating”.

Capaldi’s emotional 2025 comeback saw him make an unannounced Pyramid Stage appearance at Glastonbury, two years after he struggled to finish his 2023 Glastonbury set amid symptoms of Tourette’s syndrome, before announcing a break from touring to focus on his mental and physical health.

He has also spoken candidly about feeling “fucking dejected, disappointed, sad and just worthless” during that period, saying he never wanted to “phone it in” again.

Elsewhere, Capaldi recently said his friendships with Sam Fender and Fontaines D.C.’s Grian Chatten had inspired him to take more creative risks, explaining that being around other artists had helped push him out of his comfort zone.
