Shifting Gears has returned for its second season, but what songs appear on the soundtrack? Find out below.
Created by Julie Thacker Scully and Mike Scully, the sitcom stars Tim Allen as Matt Parker, a stubborn widower who owns a classic car restoration shop.
The series follows Matt after his estranged daughter Riley, played by Kat Dennings, moves back into his house with her two children, forcing the family to repair their fractured relationships.
The cast also includes Seann William Scott as Gabriel, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell as Stitch, Maxwell Simkins as Carter and Barrett Margolis as Georgia.
Season two picks up with Matt navigating his feelings for Eve, while Riley continues to wrestle with her own romantic uncertainty around Gabe.
The second season aired on ABC in the US from October 2025 to February 2026, before arriving on Disney+ in the UK on July 8, 2026.

The show has already been renewed for a third season, with ABC confirming in April 2026 that Shifting Gears will return for the 2026-27 TV season.
Every song on the Shifting Gears season two soundtrack
The series features an original score by Tony Kanal, who is best known as the bassist and co-writer in No Doubt, and has scored the show since its first season.
Kanal also wrote and performed the show’s title sequence music, which is credited under the title ‘Shifting Gears’. The musician has previously co-scored the Netflix film Purple Hearts with Blake Neely and composed the music for the second season of Single Drunk Female.
Outside No Doubt, Kanal has worked as a songwriter and producer, and later formed the new wave-influenced band Dreamcar with No Doubt bandmates Tom Dumont and Adrian Young, alongside AFI frontman Davey Havok.
Gwen Stefani and co., meanwhile, concluded their 18-date run at the Las Vegas Sphere last month, their first full run of shows in 14 years, and the follow-up to their reunion at Coachella 2024. Olivia Rodrigo made a surprise appearance at the last gig in the residency.
