Internationally acclaimed chart-topping K-pop group i-dle return today with their highly anticipated 9th Mini Album [We made], out now via CUBE Entertainment/BMG. Listen HERE.
Serving as the group’s most confident and creatively ambitious release to date, [We made] builds on the bold artistic direction first introduced through pre-release singles ‘Mono’ (feat. skaiwater) and ‘Crow’. Together, the songs established a new creative era for i-dle, one defined by experimentation, vulnerability, and artistic freedom.
Leading the project is the infectious title track ‘Gimme Dat Love’, a vibrant, whistle-driven summer anthem infused with Latin pop influences and undeniable energy. Equal parts effortless and empowering, the song captures the excitement of chasing love without hesitation while showcasing i-dle‘s effortless charisma and genre-defying approach to pop music.
Elsewhere, ‘Morning’ offers one of the album’s most playful moments, pairing warm melodies with reflective lyricism. ‘Love is Pain’, a ballad written by member YUQI, closes the mini album’s new material with sweeping production and emotional honesty, highlighting another side of the group’s evolving songwriting and musical depth.
The new tracks are joined by the previously released ‘Mono’ (feat. skaiwater), the genre-blurring collaboration that signaled the beginning of this new era, and ’Crow’, the explosive rock-driven anthem celebrating resilience, self-determination, and forging your own path. Together, the songs make [We made] the group’s most cohesive, adventurous, and emotionally expansive body of work to date.
The mini album’s title echoes i-dle‘s landmark 2019 2nd Mini Album [I made], reflecting both how far the members have come and how much of their artistic identity remains rooted in creating music on their own terms. Since their debut, the members have distinguished themselves as one of K-pop’s few groups deeply involved in every aspect of their music, from songwriting and production to creative direction, and [We made] continues that tradition with each release feeling unmistakably their own.
With [We made], i-dle continue to reshape expectations of what a global pop group can be. Confident, ambitious, and entirely self-defined, the mini album captures a group at the height of their creative powers, one that continues to evolve while never losing sight of the artistic independence that has set them apart from the very beginning.
