Angus Cloud’s mother has spoken about the finale of Euphoria and her appreciation of the tribute shown to her son.

The actor rose to prominence playing drug dealer Fezco in the show’s first two seasons, but tragically passed away in 2023 at the age of 25, due to a drug overdose. In the third season, it was written that the character had been arrested and was serving a 30 year sentence in prison. The opening episode of the season began with a tribute to his memory.
The finale of the HBO show aired on Sunday (May 31), and featured previously unused footage of the actor from season one as a tribute to him during a hallucination experienced by Rue (Zendaya) before she died.
The actor’s mother, Lisa Cloud, spoke to website TMZ about the finale, as well as the reaction from fans of the show.
“The massive public emotional outpouring on social media honouring my beloved son’s beautiful soul says everything,” she said. The outlet added that she “feels show creator Sam Levinson did a wonderful job paying tribute to Angus, and she 100 per cent trusted Sam and his wife, Ashley Lent Levinson.”
The article said she only found out about the usage when it was broadcast, but suspected her son may be referenced in some way.
The show’s creator Sam Levinson revealed that the third season of Euphoria would be the last, calling it “the honest ending”. Fans were not so sure, with viewers describing the finale as “the worst ending to any TV show ever”.
Recently, he also discussed how cast member Sydney Sweeney encouraged him to include nude scenes during a sequence showing her character Cassie’s sex work. Elsewhere, fellow star Chloe Cherry opened up about why she believes some actors don’t like working with Levinson.
