All-round artist XIA has released his fifth full album GRAVITY on June 2.
GRAVITY is an album that tells a story of returning to one another—unchanged—amidst inevitable attraction and turbulence; a narrative where, despite having traversed different paths through time, two entities are ultimately drawn back to a single point.
This marks his first studio album in approximately ten years, following the release of his fourth album, XIGNATURE, in 2016.
This album takes its inspiration from the power of “gravity”—a force that, though invisible to the eye, ultimately draws entities back toward one another. Even moments believed to be propelling us forward eventually circle back to the same emotional axis, and periods of time that seemed to have drifted apart are once again reconnected. Through his signature artistic sensibility, XIA explores the flow of emotions and relationships that, even as time passes, never truly fade away.
Centered around the title track ‘GRAVITY’—an Electronic House dance number distinguished by its intense bassline, synthesizer sounds, and standout choreography.
The album features a total of ten tracks spanning diverse genres, including EDM, Ballad, R&B, and Rock. If “GRAVITY” represents the force drawing two entities together, then each individual track traces its own unique orbit within that gravitational field; emotions sparked by “attraction” ultimately culminate in “connection,” thereby completing a single, unified trajectory. Much like the invisible force that ultimately draws two entities back together, “GRAVITY” will draw listeners into XIA’s unique musical universe.
