Fans have been waiting a long time for the follow-up to 2013’s Grand Theft Auto 5. Grand Theft Auto 6 was officially announced in December 2023 and was originally due to launch in late 2025 before it was delayed to May 26, 2026 to give developers time to “deliver at the level of quality [fans] deserve and expect.” A few months later, Rockstar delayed the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 once more, this time saying they needed more time to “polish” the game.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently set to launch November 19. It seems unlikely that Rockstar will delay the title for a third time because, according to an email several fans received from Best Buy, Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders will start Monday, May 18.

GTA 6 pre-order is now confirmed for May 18, 2026.

It’s been over a year since Rockstar Games shared the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, with a third trailer expected to launch alongside pre-orders.

It’s expected other stores will also launch pre-orders alongside Best Buy. According to leakers, three versions of Grand Theft Auto 6 will be available to buy including a limited-edition collector’s edition alongside the standard digital and physical releases for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. This week, Sony started contacting PS4 owners to remind them to upgrade their console if they wanted to play GTA 6.

The pre-orders will also confirm how much Grand Theft Auto 6 will cost. According to experts, Grand Theft Auto 6 will be the most expensive video game ever made and there has been plenty of speculation from fans and analysts about how much Rockstar Games will charge for the title, with some worried it could set players back up to $100.

In other news, the gorgeous soundtrack to Spirit Of The North 2 is coming to streaming next week alongside some previously unheard songs.
