BTS‘s Jimin might have already enlisted in the military for his mandatory service, but that doesn’t mean he would leave his fans behind with nothing!

On December 5, KST, Jimin, along with the other members V, Jungkook, and RM, held a surprise live stream on Weverse where they all reassured ARMYs that they had prepared interesting content to keep them busy while they were away.

Layover was so fun and I made a lot of memories. And we prepared new songs and a lot of content *gestures* so please look forward to it a lot.
This ment is a bit long.
*gestures again* Run over!

ALL: Thank you!

It seems like it’s time for Jimin’s hidden card to be revealed soon!

On December 20, KST, the official Instagram account of BTS, posted a video featuring Jimin with his trademark hashtag #thisisjimin. Usually, the videos under this tag are dance videos where Jimin showcases his extraordinary skills. This new one was no exception at first glance.

It isn’t until you pay attention to the music that you realize this video is potentially a very unconventional teaser of new music from Jimin! The song playing in the background was unmistakably in Jimin’s voice, which was soon announced to be titled “Closer Than This.”

At the end of the video, V joins in as the camera shows some sweet messages written on the mirror for ARMYs.

MESSAGES ON THE MIRROR

“Don’t worry, (I/we) will go to get you soon”
“(We/I) will go and come back *bow*”
“Keep yourself well, don’t get hurt/sick and please just stay happy”
“Love you so much” pic.twitter.com/BpIGTSpsSu

The track will be released on December 22, 2 PM KST. It is “a heartfelt song that encapsulates Jimin’s genuine feelings for ARMY.”
