Taylor Swift has sparked rumours that new music, potentially for the Toy Story soundtrack, could be on the way.

Swifties went into overdrive after a countdown briefly appeared on the pop star’s official website, set to end on May 2nd at 2pm ET. Although it disappeared soon after going up, fans managed to grab screenshots and share them on social media to speculate what could be coming.
Many took note of the colour scheme of the website and its inclusion of Toy Story-esque clouds, leading many to believe she might have a new song on its soundtrack. Others dissected her recent outfits, pointing to a recent one with similar colours to the palette seen in the film – sky blue, white, yellow, and red – as well as a horseshoe necklace many took as a nod to the beloved films.
The countdown was taken down quickly, and her homepage has currently reverted to promote her latest album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl‘. During the rollout of that record, Swift regularly had countdowns on the site that typically ended with her releasing a limited-edition vinyl.

WHY WE THINK IT IS TOY STORY RELATED
– Taylor’s outfit the other night. EVERY COLOR (when she wants to be seen, she will be seen)
– The color of the countdown… exactly the same as Toy Story
– clouds are the same

Some have even theorised that the teasers can be found in the video for ‘Opalite’, which boasted a star-studded cast including TV host Graham Norton, Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lewis Capaldi, and Cillian Murphy.
Just days after she shared an extended cut of the ’90s infomercial inspired music video, a new trailer for Toy Story 5 was shared. The movie, produced by Pixar for Walt Disney Pictures, is set to be released on June 19, comes seven years after Toy Story 4 and four after spin-off Lightyear, which traced Buzz’s backstory.
Elsewhere, The New York Times published a 30-minute interview with Swift earlier this week, where she addressed rumours surrounding a supposed feud with Jack Antonoff, offering some insight into their working relationship.
The megastar has worked with the Bleachers frontman on several albums dating back to 2014 smash hit ‘1989’, with their last collaboration being 2024’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. However, Swift worked with producers Max Martin and Shellback on her 2025 album, ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’, prompting speculation of a falling out between the pair.
“Jack Antonoff is a collaborator of mine and one of my best friends,” she said, before detailing their process together.
