The first wave of Pokémon cards were released in the UK back in 1999 and since then, The Pokémon Company has regularly released new sets and expansions.
Later this year, a special 30th anniversary collection will be released but before that, the ‘Mega Evolution’ expansion ‘Chaos Rising’ is set to launch. Available from May 22, ‘Chaos Rising’ will feature a number of new cards.
“Trainers will discover Mega Floette ex wreaking havoc as night falls in Lumiose City. Players can leverage Mega Greninja ex and other powerful Pokémon, including Mega Pyroar ex and Mega Dragalge ex, to ward off this dangerous threat,” explains a press release. “In addition, Trainers can look forward to discovering more Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, appearing as ultra rare cards that feature silhouettes of their original forms in the artwork.”
In total, the ‘Chaos Rising’ set will feature 18 ultra rare Pokémon cards, six special illustration rare cards and 11 illustration rares. Five ex and five mega evolution exs can also be found alongside common and uncommon cards.
