UNCHILD has made their debut on April 21 with the single album “We Are UNCHILD”
High Up Entertainment’s new girl group, UNCHILD, takes its name from the prefix “UN—,” which signifies the opposite of “ordinariness.”
Rather than conforming themselves to established standards and molds, the group aims to channel their unique individuality—which may initially feel somewhat unfamiliar or unconventional—into a special energy that is distinctly their own.
Born from this very identity, their debut album, “We Are UNCHILD,” marks the beginning of UNCHILD’s journey. The title track, ‘UNCHILD,’ is an electronic pop song highlighted by its garage-style sound. It creates an intense atmosphere through the interplay of raw electric guitar riffs and psychedelic electronic textures that kick in during the chorus drop. The lyric “We Are UNCHILD”—repeated right from the opening—strongly imprints the group’s identity upon the listener, conveying a bold message: they will lightly bound over any “speed bumps” of fear to embark on new adventures. At the same time, the song serves as an “invitation” from UNCHILD, through which they introduce themselves to the world.
Following this, the B-side track ‘ENERGY’ harmonizes house-based rhythms with upbeat synth sounds, intuitively conveying the group’s free-spirited and uninhibited energy.
The dreams held by these six girls are vast enough to envelop the entire world. They may lose their way at times, but as long as they are together, even that becomes an adventure. Even if everyone else calls them reckless, they have decided to turn the world upside down—as if it were all just a playful game, announcing that “We are UNCHILD!”
Meanwhile, UNCHILD has begun full-scale promotions starting with a debut showcase and Studio Choom performance.
