Liam Gallagher has suggested that he manifested Oasis‘ induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame with some “reverse psychology vibes”.
The Manchester band are set to enter the Rock Hall during a ceremony in Los Angeles in November, following two previous nominations in 2024 and 2025.

A record-breaking six British acts have been honoured for the 2026 edition, also including Joy Division and New Order (listed as a single nominee), Billy Idol, Phil Collins and Sade. They appear in the ‘Performer’ category alongside Luther Vandross, Wu-Tang Clan and more.
In response to Oasis making the final cut this time around, frontman Gallagher wrote on X/Twitter: “I wanna thank all the people who voted for us it’s a real honour ever since I was a little kid and singing in the shower.
“I’d dream about one day being in the RnR hall of fame it’s true what they say anything is possible if you have a dream LG x.”
In a separate post, LG credited “reverse psychology vibes in the area” for getting Oasis into the “RnR hall of farmers I mean famers”. He confirmed that he and Noel would be “both going” to the ceremony, writing: “We’re soooooo proud and humble.”

This refers to the singer reacting to their 2024 nomination by writing: “Fuck the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS”. He also discouraged fans from voting for Oasis at the time, calling the Rock Hall “a load of bollox”.
Gallagher reiterated his sentiments last year, saying the ceremony was “for WANKERS”. However, he replied to one fan asking what would happen if they got in by saying: “Obv go and say it’s the best thing EVER.”
This morning (Tuesday April 14), one fan tweeted to LG: “It was for wankers because all the nominees were shite but now they finally included Oasis so it not for wankers anymore. He replied: “Exactly.”
Someone else wrote: “Oh so the rule changes the minute you win.” Gallagher responded: “Pretty much.” Another user said: “You said it was full of c**ts too didn’t ya.” The frontman sent back: “It was until last night.”
When asked why he had changed his mind about the Rock Hall, LG joked: “Well I was speaking to my mummy last night when the news broke and she thinks I may have been a little hasty with my perception of the organisation.
“She’s told me to stop being a dick and go to the awards and behave and you never know you might enjoy it.”
In another tweet, LG said he was “absolutely thrilled to bits” and joked that Oasis “had to pay them to induct us”. Elsewhere, a fan said that Gallagher was “not too good for [the Rock Hall] after all.” He replied: “Nope.”

In 2017, Noel was asked by Rolling Stone if Oasis deserved to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. “I certainly think I do,” he responded.
“I know what it is [the Hall Of Fame]. I know what it entails and it won’t be happening, OK. They showed me all these exhibits of Oasis stuff. It’s a great place, but I don’t be doing it.”
Meanwhile, Peter Hook has confirmed that he’ll be in attendance at the ceremony when Joy Division and New Order are inducted as a joint act. He dedicated the honour to the late Ian Curtis, too.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2026 induction ceremony is due to take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday November 14. A recording will then air in December on ABC and Disney+.
Earlier this year, Noel Gallagher revealed that he was back in the recording studio. However, it is currently not known whether this was for new Oasis music or something else. The musician had said previously that he was “back at work” following his Christmas break.
In other news, Noel said last month that Liam was on “spectacular form” as the brothers watched Manchester City win the Carabao Cup together at Wembley Stadium.
Steven Knight recently shared more details about his upcoming documentary about Oasis’ Live ’25 reunion tour, which is said to include “phenomenal” footage of Liam and Noel’s first meeting before the shows began.
Noel was awarded the Songwriter Of The Year statue at the BRITs 2026 in February.
