Crimson Desert developers Pearl Abyss have shared their plans for the future of the game in a new blog post. “It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly three weeks since we first welcomed you to Pywel. Over that time, we’ve been closely following your adventures, discussions, and feedback, while working to make Crimson Desert an even more enjoyable experience for everyone,” they wrote.
The team then went on to preview some of the new content “shaped by player feedback” that’s set to roll out gradually between now and June.
Perhaps the biggest change is that soon players will be able to adjust the difficulty of Crimson Desert using one of three new settings – easy, normal and hard. It’s being added so “everyone – from new Greymanes to the more advanced – can enjoy the adventure at the level that suits them best.”

More summonable mounts and new pets will be added to Crimson Desert. Players will also be able to face previously-defeated bosses and enemies to “test how much you’ve grown, and further refine your own combat style through different strategies and approaches.”
Player characters Damiane and Oongka will soon have skills “comparable” to ‘Force Palm’ and ‘Axiom Force’ to make them more well-rounded while a string of new outfits will also be added to the game.
Pearl Abyss has also announced a string of quality of life updates around graphics and in-game storage while players will soon be able to customise the game’s controls.
The news has been well-received by fans. “PA devs are the fucking goats man. Literally everything we’ve been begging for and they giveth. They deserve best community support hands down,” wrote one Reddit user. “The devs have not beaten the allegation of not going home since release day,” joked another. “These are all very welcome and substantial updates. I don’t think I’ve ever seen devs being this responsive and in sync with its community,” added a third.
In other news, a new Metal Gear Solid movie adaptation is in the works from Final Destination: Bloodlines directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein.
