A source close to Mia Goth has revealed that the star is aware of the troubles surrounding ex Shia LaBeouf, but that there is “nothing she can do to help him.”
The British actress, best known for the X horror trilogy as well as Guillermo Del Toro’s adaptation of Frankenstein, was in a relationship with the Transformers actor for several years, with the couple sharing a daughter. They were confirmed to have separated in 2025.
LaBeouf has made headlines following his arrest in New Orleans during Mardi Gras in February. The actor was arrested and charged with battery on February 17 after allegedly assaulting two men at a business on Royal Street in the city’s French Quarter, where a staff member reported he had been punched.
On February 26, New Orleans Criminal District Court Judge Simone Levine revoked LaBeouf’s jail release on his own recognisance, meaning he had originally been released without posting bail, and ordered a bond of $100,000. The judge imposed the new conditions after initially allowing him to leave jail without bond, ordering him to attend rehab and undergo a drug testing program.
Mia Goth has yet to publicly comment on her former partner’s actions, but a source claiming to be close to the star spoke to People about her feelings on the matter. “Mia focuses her energy on her daughter and her career. She’s aware what’s going on with Shia, but there is nothing she can do to help him.”
The source continued: “She chooses to focus on things that she does have control over,” adding: “she’d love for them to be together as a family. She really cares about Shia. It was just not a good situation.”
Goth is set to star in two high profile blockbusters, having been confirmed as part of the cast of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, released this summer, and Star Wars: Starfighter, released next year.
