Resident Evil Requiem features dual protagonists which allows players to experience action and survival horror. Returning fan-favourite Leon Kennedy is an accomplished soldier who’s fearless in the face of mutated zombies, while newcomer Grace Ashcroft is a nervous FBI analyst who gets caught up in the latest outbreak. “Both of their journeys and unique gameplay styles intertwine into a heart-stopping, emotional experience that will chill you to your core,” reads a statement from Capcom.
For this year’s April Fool’s Day, voice actors Nick Apostolides (Leon) and Angela Sant’Albano (Grace) swapped places for a selection of Resident Evil Requiem cut-scenes.

The video has been viewed more than 2.4million times on X with more than 17,000 fans sharing the clip.
“Everyone’s laughing but I want the full version,” wrote one fan. “I love how Angela Sant’Albano kept Grace’s stutter for the Leon lines. Grace’s mannerisms are too good to leave out,” said another. “More shows/games should have VA swaps for the fun of it. This is sooooo amazing,” added a third.
Last month it was confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem was the fastest-selling game in Resident Evil history after it shifted more than six million copies in just two weeks. Developers are currently working on a DLC for the hit game, while a 30th anniversary concert tour is set to take place later this year.
In other video gaming April Fool’s pranks, SEGA announced it was going to make its logo 3 per cent more blue, Hitman gave their iconic bald assassin Agent 47 a selection of wigs and Konami launched a life-size body pillow featuring Silent Hill 2’s James Sunderland “to ease sadness, anxiety and trauma”.
