Last week it was revealed that Fox McCloud, the hero of the cult Star Fox series, would be making an appearance in the upcoming The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
The character, voiced by Glen Powell, also had a fancy new design with many fans speculating that a new Star Fox game was imminent. Donkey Kong Banaza was revealed shortly after a new look Donkey Kong was introduced in the first The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Now reliable insider Nate The Hate has reported a “classic” Star Fox adventure is set to launch this summer for the Nintendo Switch 2 with Video Games Chronicle backing up the claims. “We’re getting a new Star Fox game in the very near future,” Nate said via his YouTube channel. “I’ve been told it’s a classic style Star Fox game, [and] the visuals are supposed to be very good. I’ve heard it does have online multiplayer [too].”
If true, it’ll be the first new Star Fox game since 2016’s Star Fox Zero was released on the Wii U.
Nate The Hate also claimed a remake of The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is planned for later this year as part of the series’ 40th anniversary celebrations. However a brand new 3D Mario game won’t launch until 2027, ten years after the last 3D Mario game [Super Mario Odyssey] was released.
The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time was released 1998 and an updated version followed in 2011 for the Nintendo Switch DS. The title is widely regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time and, if Nate The Hate’s report is correct, the remake would come ahead of a live-action The Legend Of Zelda movie adaptation which is due to launch May 2027.
Earlier this year, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa said the company will “work to ensure” The Legend Of Zelda will “continue to be enjoyed for many years to come” while refusing to give specifics about anniversary plans.
In other news, Sony has confirmed the PlayStation 5 is about to get a lot more expensive due to “continued pressures” in the global economic landscape.
