Junhee returned to Helsinki’s Ääniwalli after about a year and a half, but this time without his group A.C.E. He talked about how performing solo made him nervous at first, but he received so much support from his fans, called C.C, that it made him stronger and more confident.
Before the concert, VIP events were held for fans. There was a Q&A session where fans had written down questions for Junhee. One question asked which A.C.E member he would like to be for a day, and he answered Yuchan, saying that as the maknae, he receives a lot of love.
After the Q&A, there was a fansign where fans could get a photocard signed and talk to him one-on-one. This was followed by a hi-touch and group photos, where five fans at a time took a picture with Junhee. He stretched his arms wide so that everyone could feel included and close to him.
The energy of the concert shifted constantly. At times, it was incredibly energetic, with fans jumping along, singing, screaming, and filling the venue with excitement. Other moments were deeply emotional. Junhee broke down in tears on stage and struggled for a while to pull himself back together.
One of the most touching moments of the night began after a photo of Junhee wearing Finnish sunglasses with the Finnish flag was taken. After that, he was asked to sit down again, seemingly to retake the photo without the glasses. But instead, a video started playing on the screen, showing moments from different stops on his tour. It was clear that it made him realize just how loved he really is. He cried for a long time and thanked his fans sincerely. Once he was able to gather himself again, he continued performing with a bright smile, just like before.
During the concert, Junhee also talked about Finnish food. He mentioned that he had never tried any Finnish dishes before. Fans shouted suggestions from the crowd, with salmon soup being one of the most well-known. He found it hard to understand how it would work as a dish or how it’s made, but he was clearly curious.
He was given a Finnish cinnamon bun to try on stage. At first, he seemed a bit shy to try it, but his reaction quickly changed. You could clearly see the surprise on his face. He absolutely loved it and even said he was jealous that Finnish people get to eat it often. He ended up sharing the rest with the audience.
Throughout the concert, Junhee performed his own hits, including “Supernova” and “Umbrella.” He also performed A.C.E’s songs like “Clover” and “My Girl.” In addition, he covered songs such as “Toxic Till the End” by ROSÉ, “Beautiful” by Bazzi, “Soft Spot” by keshi, “Your Idol” by Saja Boys from KPop Demon Hunters, “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd, and “GO BABY” by Justin Bieber.
At the very end, there was also a snapshot event where fans could take a photo with Junhee. He gently held fans by the shoulder and softly patted their head, creating a very warm and affectionate atmosphere. He also went outside after the concert to greet fans who were waiting for him outside.
It made me so emotional to see how far Junhee has come over the years. His genuine kindness and love shone brightly throughout the entire night. Personally, it was the most emotional concert I have ever been to, and it’s something I and many others will never forget.
