Fortnite has confirmed that the fan-favourite Daft Punk experience will be removed this week – and fans aren’t happy.

The Daft Punk Experience was announced last September, allowing fans access to an immersive Fortnite world featuring 31 songs from across the French duo’s catalogue. The experience also includes custom outfits, all-night dance parties and opportunities to remix and mashup Daft Punk songs, as well as a virtual concert featuring moments from their celebrated ‘Alive 2007’ live album.

The experience was set to end in November but was kept live due to the incredible response from fans. “Best live event Fortnite has ever done. Absolutely amazing,” wrote one Reddit user.

However yesterday (March 17) Fortnite confirmed that the Daft Punk experience will be put into the vault tomorrow (March 19), meaning players will no longer be able to access it.

The news hasn’t gone down well with a vast majority of players who believed the Daft Punk experience would run until the end of 2026.

“I’m so mad about the Daft Punk experience being vaulted like ok, yeah lets keep the dumb brainrot slop maps but lets vault Daft Punk,” wrote one X user. “Do they fucking hate us,” asked another. Others are frustrated that planned rewards were never shared.

Chappell Roan was the most recent headliner of Fortnite Festival after publicly asking for her own in-game skin last year. It inspired fellow pop star Madison Beer and Olympic champion Alysu Liu to also demand their own Fortnite characters.

Earlier this month, Epic Games confirmed Fortnite V-Bucks would be getting more expensive to “help pay the bills” and fans were understandably furious. “There’s just something dystopian and disgusting about them saying ‘costs of running the game has gone up and we’re raising prices to help pay the bills’ by a multi-billion company that makes insane profits. If you want to nickel and dime your playerbase, at least don’t play victim,” wrote one fan.

In other news, Undertale has confirmed a 2026 orchestral tour, bringing Toby Fox’s iconic soundtrack to fans around the world.
