Mogwai and Rock Action celebrate 30 years with video for debut single ‘Tuner’ along with new Scottish and European tour dates

Mogwai have shared a new video for debut single ‘Tuner’ to mark the song and their self-owned and run label Rock Action Records’ 30th anniversary.

The clip, which you can view below, features rare and unseen footage dating back from the time of its release up to the present day. It is produced and edited by longtime collaborator and director of their 2024 documentary Mogwai: If The Stars Had A Sound, Antony Crook.

During their 30 years as a band, they have released 11 studio albums including last year’s ‘The Bad Fire’.

Their label has also go on to be a success, releasing more than 150 records from local and international artists, and supported notable Scottish independent acts including Arab Strap, The Twilight Sad, Kathryn Joseph and Cloth.

The band have also announced a set of European tour dates which will culminate in two homecoming shows at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow on November 20-21.

The band recently wrapped up a UK tour last month and they are due to perform at London’s Royal Albert Hall on March 25 with Craven Faults and Annika Kilkenny as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust concerts curated by The Cure‘s Robert Smith. You can purchase any remaining tickets here.

The band are also set to headline this year’s Green Man festival alongside Wolf Alice, Four Tet, Wilco.

Mogwai are set to top the bill on the Thursday night (August 20), with Wilco closing out the main stage the following evening (21). Four Tet will then perform a headline slot on Saturday (22), before Wolf Alice close the fourth and final day (Sunday August 23).

Wales’ largest independent music, science and arts festival, will return to the Brecon Beacons between August 20 and August 23. Tickets for this year are now sold out, but resale tickets are available exclusively via Tixel.
