On February 27, the eight-member South Korean girl group UNIS completed their first 14-city tour, ‘2026 UNIS 1st Tour: EVERLAST,’ across North America and Latin America, with Los Angeles being the concluding stop. The girls (Hyeonju, Nana, Gehlee, Kotoko, Yunha, Elisia, Yoonah, Seowon) successfully wrapped up at the Echoplex, a live music venue at the heart of the Echo Park neighborhood in downtown LA, to celebrate and build on their global growth.

Formed through the SBS reality show Universe Ticket, UNIS officially debuted with the mini album “We UNIS” on March 27, 2024. Very recently, in early 2026, the group released a special English version of their 2025 Japanese digital single “Mwah…” to match simultaneously with the launch of their first-ever North American tour, kicking off in New York and setting the tone with that energetic, playful spirit which defines the theme and the tour’s overall concept.

Hitting the show off, UNIS opened with their April 2025-released tracks–“SWICY” and “DDANG!”–two high-energy pop songs that instantly electrified the crowd. From the first beat, the group made an explosive appearance, setting a bold, surprising “here we are” tone that left no doubt the show had officially begun.

The group greeted the large crowd with a warm welcome: “[2026] Unis 1st tour: EVERLAST at Los Angeles has started,” followed by their iconic “Hello, we are UNIS!” and individual introductions from members across the stage.

As the performance continued, UNIS took moments between songs to introduce each track and share their brief stories behind the overall tracklist, including “SUPERWOMAN,” “Mwah…” (English Version), “Butterfly’s Dream,” “Good Feeling,” “Dopamine,” “Curious,” “From A Seed called ‘Hey, What’s Up,’” “MoshiMoshi” (English Version), “Spring Rain,” “Whatchu Need,” and “Poppin’”. The setlist showcased the group’s lively characteristics, allowing the members to connect more personally with the fans. Fan interactions throughout each song did not disappoint. The crowd stood, danced, waved, and bobbed their heads intensely with every beat and rhythm, cheering on the group throughout the night.

Midway through the show, the group surprised their fans by mixing in a selection of their favorite cover songs, beginning with two-unit stages: “Baby” by Justin Bieber (Kotoko, Yunha, Elisia, Yoona, Seowon) and “Paint the Town Red” by Doja Cat (Hyeonju, Nana, Gehlee). The split allowed each subunit to carry the stage with its own distinct style before the members reunited as a full group for “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae, and “What is Love?” by TWICE toward the end of the show. The covers added a refreshing dynamic to the set, highlighting each member’s stage presence and reinforcing their cohesive performance.

As all fun times do, the show felt like it ended far too soon. Following their official farewells, the members began to exit the stage, but fans weren’t ready to say goodbye. Chants for an encore echoed throughout the venue, and cheers eventually brought UNIS back on stage. Rejoining the crowd for what they described as the “night of their dreams,” the group closed with “Dream of Girls” and “See You in My Dream,” creating a sentimental finale.

Adding an even sweeter layer to the evening, the Los Angeles stop coincided with Yunha’s birthday. As the members delivered their individual final speeches, the audience suddenly broke into a loud chorus of “Happy Birthday.” Catching all the members by surprise, the venue organizer brought out a birthday sash and tiara, turning the moment into a heart-warming celebration.

Just when it seemed the surprises were over after the closing remarks, the members gathered for official photos before pulling out their own phones for a massive group selfie with fans in the background, revealing that, among themselves, they had secretly planned their own surprise “Happy Birthday” song for Yunha way before the show had started. Laughing, they admitted they hadn’t expected fans to beat them to it. The spontaneous back-and-forth between the group and the crowd made the moment feel even more genuine.

And that marked the end of an unforgettable night.
