The three-LP vinyl set will feature 44 tracks from across The Outer Worlds 2’s soundtrack. “Composed by Oleksa Lozowchuk, Antonio Gradanti, and Jim Bonney, the music of The Outer Worlds 2 blends cinematic scoring, period-inspired styles, and sanctioned cultural messaging to reflect a colony guided by ambition—and the systems entrusted to manage it,” explains a press release.
Each disc is dedicated to one of The Outer World 2’s major factions. ‘Volume 001: Truth, Justice & Dispute Resolution’ features “sweeping orchestral themes and restrained electronic textures [that] underscore exploration, investigation, and the reassuring sense that Arcadia’s instability is both anticipated and accounted for” while ‘Volume 002: Wireless Free Arcadia’ is full of “bright melodies, big band swing, and relentlessly cheerful compositions [that] promote comfort, productivity, and sustained consumer confidence.”
The third disc, ‘Volume 003: Mental Enlightenment & Refreshments’, is full of “colder, more abstract compositions [that are] focused on empirical certainty, controlled experimentation, and outcomes unburdened by sentiment.”
Attention, Commanders. Approved by the Earth Directorate, The @OuterWorlds 2 Original Soundtrack is authorized for distribution via a triple-vinyl release.
