The second half of Bridgerton season four is here, but can fans expect it to return for a fifth season? Find out below.

The hit Netflix period drama was created by Chris Van Dusen, based on the novels by Julia Quinn, and it offers an alternative take on London in the early 19th century as the noble and influential Bridgerton family navigate the competitive social season.
The first four episodes of season four dropped at the end of January and the final four arrived on Thursday (February 26).
This season pivoted the focus to the bohemian second son Benedict, played by Luke Thompson. A synopsis read: “Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down – until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.”
In a three-star review of Bridgerton season three, Nick Levine wrote for NME: “Bridgerton may be more playful and progressive than most shows of this ilk, but it still relies on tired tropes like the need to beget a male son and heir. Thankfully, even at its cheesiest, it’s a treat to look at. Queen Charlotte’s brilliantly ridiculous wigs are set off by Rosheuvel’s scene-stealing facial expressions: her bored and haughty look is particularly meme-able.
“If you don’t have much of a sweet tooth, this still won’t be the show for you. But if you’re craving an early-summer pick-me-up, you’ll devour these warm and watchable episodes in one scrummy sitting.”
Will there be a Bridgerton season five?
Since its launch in December 2020, Bridgerton has been one of Netflix’s signature original shows and it continues to be one of its biggest draws for subscribers.
It came as no surprise, therefore, that the streamer confirmed last summer that they had officially renewed the series for not just a fifth season, but a sixth season too.
Netflix wrote in a letter to fans: “Rarely is this author granted the opportunity to share with you such information. It is with great pleasure I can announce Bridgerton shall return for Seasons 5 and 6. Do celebrate accordingly.”
No release date has been announced, but each new season so far has arrived roughly two years after the conclusion of the last, so it is likely that season five will launch in 2028.
