The two new announcements come as the Luton dance-punks are gearing up to release their debut record, ‘It’s The Hope That Kills You’, on April 10 via Fiction/ I Oh You. Visit here to pre-order.

Already, the highly-anticipated record has been confirmed as featuring previously released singles ‘Space In The Cab’, their first ever release, ‘Ursula’, and the pulsing ‘Aux Romanticiser’.

Now, the group have shared a new remix of the latter, which they worked on alongside The Twins. It comes as the first of multiple remixes they have planned for the ‘It’s The Hope That Kills You’ singles, and other reimagines come in collaboration with 1-800 GIRLS and Tom Sharkett.

In ‘Aux Romanticiser’, The Itch sample the viral webseries Subway Takes, and follow vocalist Simon Tyrie as he sings about getting a start as an amateur DJ.

Today (Friday February 13), the group have also shared details of a new UK headline tour, which kicks off in Leeds on May 8. The shows all follow on from a gig in Paris with Stereolab and Elias Rønnenfelt, and the run contains stops in Glasgow, London, Manchester, Bristol and more.

There are also two shows lined up abroad – taking place in Paris and Amsterdam – before The Itch play a slot at Wilde Weide Festival in Kraggenburg in July. Tickets go on sale next Friday (February 20) and you can buy tickets here.

The Itch’s upcoming 2026 tour dates are:

NME spoke to the group back in September, and frontman Simon Tyrie explained that the aim of The Itch was “to play fun nights that don’t feel like the industry’s got their hands all over them.”

His bandmate Georgia Hardy added: “When you’re outside of the music industry, you think everyone inside it knows what they’re doing and there are rules you have to abide by – you have to play this show and get on that playlist.

“But when you work in it, you know it’s all bullshit and everyone is winging it, so that gave me so much more confidence to be like, ‘The most important thing is the music and the creativity around it.’”

The duo also featured in the newly shared NME 100 list for 2026, and their entry read: “Got no money? The sanity black hole of social media bringing you down? The Itch understand, and they’ve got the solution: insatiable, indie-electronic bangers designed for dancing it out, cutting loose and forgetting your troubles.”
